Every month, I highlight a few family-friendly Houston happenings you may want to mark on your calendar! Sometimes these will be events that you need tickets to or RSVP for – in which case, in advance is always better. So, here’s 5 fun Houston things I am excited about for July!

Froberg’s Farm Watermelon Festival July 7-9 9am-4:30pm – Food, live music, family activities, rind throwing and more! $3 admission, buy your tickets at the door.
Gingerbread Lane July 8 11am-4pm at Houston Farmers Market – a fun Christmas in July gingerbread house workshop! Build your dream gingerbread house with a special curated kit, and the flexible workshops start every half hour so you can go at the pace your child prefers and no rushing!
Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone at Houston Symphony July 14-15 – We just finished the first Harry Potter book in our house, and the Symphony is bringing it to life by providing a live soundtrack to the movie! Ps there will be a Sugar Land show on July 22, too.
Summer Jam at The Moody Center for the Arts July 15 – a free family day at Rice’s Moody Center for the Arts from 12-5pm with indoors art projects and activities for kids, an indoor farmers market, plus face paint, scavenger hunt, bubbles, yard games, food trucks, and lots more.
Bluey’s Big Play at Wortham Center July 29 & 30 – Bluey live! Kids of all ages are welcome.
Ps. Events may be subject to change. And – for the best of Houston with Kids this summer – check out my brand new Houston Summer Guide 2023! Link on the front page of my website.
