đ College Football Playoff Events Jan 5-7 â A lot to do aside from the games! Check out the free Fan Central at George R. Brown Convention Center with games, autographs, special exhibits, and more. Friday noon to 6pm; Saturday & Sunday 10am to 6pm. Then, check out the concerts at Shell Energy Stadium â Friday is particularly kid-friendly with Kidz Bop at 6pm. Free, but must register on the CFBPlayoff mobile app â entry to this performance will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis
đ Family Fun Day at MATCH Jan 14, 1-5pm- Free annual MATCH Family Fun Day with an entire city block filled with performances and activities! Family-friendly arts performances plus face paint, bounce houses, balloon artists, stilt walkers, food trucks, and more.Â
đł Arbor Day at Houston Arboretum Jan 20, 10am-2pm â Free annual Arbor Day Celebration! Meet Johnny Appleseed and try some apple cider, learn how bees use trees to make honey, go on a hike to discover how trees feed wildlife, and so much more! Lots of tree activities and crafts to enjoy â program will be held rain or shine
đť Monster Jam at NRG Jan 20-21 â If your kiddo loves Monster Trucks, this is a fun one! (Consider ear protection for littles!) Multiple shows, including a little kid friendly daytime option on Sunday. Tickets available at Ticketmaster and other outlets.Â
âžď¸ Astros FanFest at Minute Maid Park Jan 20 â Baseball-themed activities including autograph sessions, running the bases, batting cages, bullpen throwing sessions, a Family Fun Zone, and more. Though free to attend, you must claim a voucher online to enter. Times TBA & vouchers have not gone live yet.Â
