Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by a toddler while applying sunscreen. As parents, we already risk life and fingers brushing tiny teeth day in day out, and sunscreen seems like a lot to ask on top of that, right?
Enter: the UPF sunshirt and rash guards. I love these for protecting Bebe’s skin while we’re outside, and they aren’t just for swimming!
Last summer, Bebe lived in Primary.com’s baby swim shirts. They have UPF 50 and a handy zipper to make it easier to get over those big noggins. This summer, I snapped up a Primary sun hat and a new long sleeved swim shirt at 50% off. I also love all their prints for this summer, including polka dots and rainbow stripes.

I also added some Hanna Andersson pieces to our swim arsenal for this summer, and I’m excited to use them. Hanna Andersson has such good quality items. I picked up a navy long sleeve rash guard tee to match the swim trunks we have from The Beaufort Bonnet Company, and a lemon print rash guard. The lemon print looks to be sold out now, but they have a variety of really cute options for both boys and girls, many at 40% off this weekend.
And a note about hats. I love The Beaufort Bonnet Company’s bonnets for babies and younger toddlers. Bebe has this seersucker bonnet, and I am sad that he is almost too big for it now. Bonnets are flat in the back which is terrific for babies who still lay down often, and the ties make sure they stay on busy toddlers. We also have this floppy sun hat, and it’s the sweetest print.
