Fun Christmas Tree Farms to Visit in Houston this Holiday Season!

November 27, 2022 by Lindsay

We have really cool and fun Christmas tree farms right here in the Houston area! If you are looking to cut your own this year (or have someone cut it for you!), be sure to check out one of these great options.

Checking out the trees at Dewberry Farm

Dewberry Farm

Visit Dewberry Farm for a tree, plus concessions and (most days) activities and Santa! Admission is free, and you take a wagon ride to the Christmas Tree Forest to find your perfect tree. Bonus: you can cut the tree down yourself or one of Dewberry’s team members can cut it for you. (Dewberry will provide the hand saw.)

On Saturdays and Sundays (weather permitting), Dewberry offers activities. Some play ground areas are open to all visitors at no charge, while other activities have a fee.  Santa will also be available for no charge for photos! Speaking of Santa, Dewberry will also host a breakfast with Santa on December 3 (a fee applies). Dewberry will be open 11/25-27, 12/2-4, and 12/9-11.

Froberg’s Farm

Froberg’s Farm is open everyday from 11/25-12/23 for Christmas trees! They have fewer regular activities but their store is also open everyday and certain weekends they have fun extras like music and a coffee truck. You may bring your own saw or borrow one from Froberg’s.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm

As the name implies, Old Time Christmas Tree Farm waits all year for its big moment. It will be open 11/19-12/11 (or as long as its trees do not sell out!). It will be open everyday and on the weekends also have attractions like a petting zoo, train ride, and Santa photos (many of the activities have a fee). Old Time also offers pre-cut trees in case cut your own trees are not your style.
