We went to our very first Disney on Ice performance! I wasn’t sure what to expect, so read on for our tips for Disney on Ice in Houston!

Disney on Ice performances in Houston are generally held at NRG Stadium, and they were for this latest show, “Magic In the Stars.”
- Try to arrive at NRG Stadium 45 minutes-1 hour in advance. The parking process took us about 10-15 minutes and then the walk to the stadium was about 5-10 minutes for little legs, plus you may want to buy food or use the bathroom.
- Parking is $22 plus tax. They do not accept cash – get your credit card ready to keep the line moving.
- They kept the show moving at a good pace and started at 11am on the dot for the 11am show. It was 45 minutes, then a 15 minute intermission, then another 35-40 minutes.
- There is no clear bag policy in effect. I saw a few people with backpacks for babies and small toddlers but most people stuck with smaller bags (a huge tote could potentially get you sent back to your car to keep it there!).
- No outside food or drink in general, but baby bottles/baby food/toddler food are typically permitted.
- Food is allowed during the show from concessions and generally snacking makes for good entertainment for little kids with short attention spans.
- We had floor seats and it was honestly a bit of a pain to get to the seats (walking all the way down all those stadium steps to get to the floor!). They also only use the lower part of the stadium for this show, so I think you could get seats that are further up and still not feel at all far away from the stage.
- If your kids like costumes, make sure they wear them! Lots of kids wear costume and/or Disney items.
- Kids under 2 are free (if they sit in your lap).
