On our first day of our Disneyland trip, dude was more interested in exploring the parks than riding rides! We found some very cool hidden gems this trip with all that exploring.

One great part of these hidden Disneyland gems? Almost nothing had a line and so easy to do. Locations below!
First up: the Beast’s Library. This is a great hidden secret and is inside Sorcerer’s Workshop in California Adventure. You can also play a game inside his study that tells you what Disney character you are most like!

The Pirate Tunnels at Tom Sawyer Island in Disneyland were a huge favorite! Not so much hidden, as the Island is very visible, but with all the hustle and bustle of the rides, I feel many families overlook it! My kiddo loved exploring the island in general but the tunnels were definitely a highlight. He also loves the raft you take to get on the island!

The Main Street Cinema is definitely in plain sight, although I have never been! They show old black and white Disney movies on several different screens and my guy loved them. This would also make a great place to rest and get out of the weather on hot/cold/rainy days.

The Boudin Bakery Tour in Pacific Wharf in California Adventure was an unexpected hit! My guy loved seeing all the bakers in action and the huge variety of machines. You can see the bread at various stages (including above your head at one point), and there may even be a fresh, free sample waiting for you.

Finally, you can explore the inside of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. The story of Sleeping Beauty is told on paper with the book laid out for you as you walk through the Castle but there is spooky lighting to amplify the drama with the evil queen!
