We love taking advantage of free days to visit some of our favorite kid-friendly Houston museums! Read on for the free days at Houston museums!

All of the YAY for free, climate controlled entertainment in Houston! Almost of these are just for the permanent collection of the museum – there is generally a charge for special or visiting exhibits.
🦕 Houston Museum of Natural Science – Free Tuesdays 5-8pm for permanent collection *this is a new day, it used to be on Thursday!*
🖼️ Museum of Fine Arts, Houston – Free Thursdays 11am-9pm for permanent collection, and free everyday for kids 12 and under
🎪 Children’s Museum Houston – Free Thursdays 5-8pm, or anytime with a Houston Public Library FLIP Kit pass
🧩 Fort Bend Discovery Center – Free with the use of a FLIP Kit pass
🧠 The Health Museum – Free Thursdays 2-7pm
🎨 Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts – Always free, suggested adult donation $5 *currently closed for exhibition change, reopening Jan 27*
🚆 Asia Society Texas – Free Thursdays 12-7pm *new free day – be sure to check out their awesome new permanent exhibit *
🌈 Menil Collection (including the “rainbow room” at Richmond Hall!) – Always free
