We love taking advantage of free times and days to visit some of our favorite kid-friendly Houston museums! All of the YES for free, air conditioned entertainment this summer with littles!
Houston Museum of Natural Science – free Thursdays 5-8pm for general admission/the permanent collection.
Museum of Fine Arts, Houston – free Thursdays all day for everyone! And free everyday for kiddos 12 and under.
Children’s Museum Houston – free Thursdays 5-8pm or anytime with a FLIP Kit pass. What’s a FLIP Kit Pass? Read more here about the Children’s Museum’s partnership with the Houston Public Library! With this cool program, you can check out a FLIP Kit from the library, read the book and do a fun activity, and upon returning the kit to the library you receive a free FLIP Kit pass to use for free admission!
Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center – free with the use of a FLIP Kit pass (they are a sister museum to the Children’s Museum Houston).
The Health Museum – free Thursdays 2-7pm
Pearl Fincher Fine Arts Museum – always free, suggested adult donation $5
The Menil Collection (including the “rainbow room” at Richmond Hall!) – always free
