If you haven’t been out to the Rosenberg Railroad Museum yet, it is such a gem! So much fun for the kiddos – and adults like it too!

The Rosenberg Railroad Museum is located along four active train lines in downtown Historic Rosenberg – a perfect place for a Railroad Museum! They have so much to see, including a huge indoor outdoor model room – with model sets on several different layouts. Outside, you can take a tour of a caboose and a beautiful, restored business rail car. Also outside is another huge model train layout with several different trains running!

Kids are definitely top of mind here because they also have a full playroom for kids! The playroom has SO many train toys, sets, and tracks plus train themed books. In addition, they have other toys too (like a play kitchen) but my dude was fully into playing with the trains. The museum also has a small wooden train playground! My son was loving pretending to drive the wooden train.
The setting in downtown Rosenberg is very cute. We like to go across the street for lunch and eat at the Another Time Soda Fountain! The Rosenberg Railroad Museum ticket is good all day, so you can definitely leave and eat lunch, and come back. They also host special events, including near monthly “Garden Railroad Fun Days” for kids and several Fridays they have preschool-focused events!
