Lunar New Year celebrations are about to start to bring in the year of the dragon! Read on for kid-friendly Lunar New Year celebrations in Houston.

- February 3 – The Woodlands Children’s Museum Lunar New Year Celebration, with decorations, activities, performances by Houston Lion Kings, and more 10am-2pm
- February 3 – Montrose Collective Lunar New Year Celebration with lion & dragon dance performance and evening market 6-8pm
- February 4 – POST Lunar New Year celebration with Asian pop-up market, lion dances at 1pm and 7pm, 11am-9pm
- February 10 – Asia Society Texas Lunar New Year festival with all ages arts and crafts, lion dances, ticketed music and dance performances and more. *Free admission, registration required for timed building entry 11am-4pm
- February 10 – Children’s Museum Houston Lunar New Year Celebration with lion dance, Polynesian performance, Ruby’s Chinese New Year by the Houston Grand Opera, and more 11am-3:30pm
- February 10 – Market Square Houston Lunar New Year Festival & Night Market, local food pop-ups, lantern station, performances by Lee Golden Dragon, Unity Lion Dance and more 3-9pm
- February 10 – Chinese Community Center Lunar New Year Festival with Dragon & Lion Dance, Kung Fu, traditional Chinese dances, food trucks and more 10am-4pm
- February 11 – M-K-T Lunar New Year Market with dragon parade, red envelopes for the kids, plant and artisan market and more 11am-5pm
- February 11 – Discovery Green Lunar New Year celebration with Lee’s Golden Dragon and other performers, 5-7pm
- February 11 – Memorial Park Conservancy Unity Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe at Clay Family Eastern Glades 6-8pm
