Houston has a cool new pizzeria in Montrose called Nonno’s Family Pizza Tavern – and it is super 90s nostalgic!

I have been so excited to check out Nonno’s Family Pizza Tavern, which has just recently opened in Montrose! (It is in the old Revelry space, next to The Toasted Coconut.)
Nonno’s has a really fun vibe and a super cool new pizzeria. The vintage Pizza Hut light fixtures give real 80s and 90s nostalgia and the small arcade full of old-school games is fun for everyone! The games also take real quarters – bring your own or you can buy them from the restaurant. We also like the square cut pizza – very Chicago/Midwest (and easy for little hands to hold!). The mozzarella sticks also apparently sell out every night – our waiter told us the cheese is imported straight from Italy. They had a different, deeper flavor and came with a slightly spicy marinara – yum.
This is one of those very popular brand new places – show up at opening time for the least wait. Right now they are open Tues-Sun for dinner only, starting at 5pm.
Have you tried Nonno’s yet? Located at 1613 Richmond Ave, Houston. Such a fun place!
