The Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land has the coolest exhibit on right now – and kiddos are loving it! Let’s explore these fun tree houses this summer.

First, did you know that the Houston Museum of Natural Science has a Sugar Land location? Yes, in addition to the Hermann Park location we all know and love, HMNS also has a Sugar Land branch! If you are an HMNS member, good news: you get free admission to HMNS at Sugar Land AND a reduced rate for special exhibits, like Tree Houses! HMNS at Sugar Land also has a great perk: parking here is free and easy.
This summer, HMNS at Sugar Land is hosting a really fun exhibit: Tree Houses! Who doesn’t love a Tree House (especially an air conditioned one this extremely hot summer)?? In the exhibit, you can explore larger than life tree houses, learning about nature and animals (including the forest sounds dance floor)! Kids were having so much fun checking out all the special details, from the animal sounds and exhibits to exploring all the nooks and crannies of the tree house!
But then, kids can also get hands-on: building your own structures out of lots of different materials like LEGOS, Lincoln Logs and more, leaf rubbing, nature exploring to check out all the little critters that live in and around trees, playing a logging computer game, learning about all the products that come from trees, and more.
There is a fee for the exhibit (only $5 for members!) and $18 for non-members (the $13 admission fee plus $5), kids $15. Kids 2 and under are free. This summer, through August 13, the HMNS at Sugar Land is opened expanded hours, 10am-5pm every day.
Have you been yet? Tree Houses is on through September 4!
